Gloria Dei Lutheran Church is blessed to have musicians on staff to enrich our worship with a wide range of music. Jessica Seidler is our Director of Music, with Dr. Tracey Johnson and Andreas Landstedt as our principal accompanists. We have two different active choirs at Gloria Dei: our Chancel Choir and our Handbell Choir. Beyond providing special music throughout the year, the regular musical groups have two special weekends each year where they are the primary preachers in worship — the Christmas Cantata weekend in mid-December and Music Weekend in early June— and the Sunday School kids lead a grand celebration of Christmas with their Christmas program.
If you can read music, we would be happy to teach you how to use handbells. Our handbell choir rehearses Sunday mornings at 7:45 am before services. Performances occur on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am services and will be announced by the Director of Music.
